A TALE OF THREE CONTROVERSIES..OF A 10 & 11 YEAR OLD PREGNANT KIDS AND GUADALUPE VASQUEZ" STILL BIRTH CHILD.

Guadalupe Vasquez”—a rape survivor who became pregnant, suffered an obstetric emergency, was charged for having an abortion and later wrongfully imprisoned for homicide— She was 18 years old when she experienced the events that landed her in prison

Carmen Guadalupe Vásquez Aldana started working as a domestic worker at very young age. When the events took place, she working as a housemaid earning $80 per month. She was sleeping in her employer’s’ house, in a bedroom without electricity.

      Just after she started to work there, she was raped, and as a result, she became pregnant. Her womb hadn't grown and not even her employer noticed that she was pregnant.
Months later, she went into labor in the early morning in her small room. Frightened as she didn't expect the birth and afraid of losing her job due to the childbirth, besides, she never requested for any medical attentions, the baby died or it was born a stillbirth. Due to lack of medical treatment she suffered a heavy hemorrhage. 

Her employer found her bleeding the next morning, he thought was a menstrual blood and yet Guadalupe adamantly carried on with household chores while still bleeding. By noon, as the bleeding hadn't stopped, her employer took her to San Bortolo Hospital, where she remained unattended until 8:20 in the evening. The doctor said she had a heavy hemorrhage and the staff of the hospital turned her in to the police for a crime of abortion and she was detained.

The story took an unexpected turn on January 12, when the Commission of Justice and Human Rights in El Salvador's Legislative Assembly unanimously ruled to pardon Carmen Guadalupe and was freed

When she left the prison, one of her first words was “ I thank God” and she also added,” “When I was in the prison, I met other women like me who were being treated unjustly. I want to send them a message of hope and strength. I want them to know that the world is paying attention to their cases.”

In a Contrast of fate and almost similar to Guadalupe’s rape was the case of the 10 year old from Paraguay.

 The child is five-months pregnant, allegedly raped by her stepfather Gilberto Benítez Zárate, who was finally detained by police after several weeks on the run. He is currently behind bars at the Tacumbú prison in Asuncion, for rape and other charges.

Authorities have denied the girl an abortion despite her mother's requests, and some medical experts feared that her pregnancy at such a young age could endanger her life. The girl's mother –who reportedly raised the alarm last year that the stepfather was abusing her daughter, but police did nothing —

was also arrested, accused of obstructing the investigation by giving false information about the stepfather.

She is ten years old, weighs 36 kilograms (79 pounds) and she hardly rises up to 1.40 meters (4 feet 7 inches) and she is pregnant after her stepfather allegedly raped her. Paraguayan authorities, however, have rejected outright for the minor to have an abortion.

      On April 21, the girl arrived to the Trinity Child's Hospital of Asunción with her mother. The girl was complaining about a stomachache.
But when the doctors evaluated her, they found out the girl was 21-weeks pregnant.

And the Uruguay’s 11 year old girl who was also raped by her grandfather and now she has shocked the world by refusing abortion due to fears.

The 11-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital. She is three months pregnant. The father is a relative, who, she says, raped her. Abortions are legal in Uruguay, but the young girl is afraid and has refused to have one.

Family members, doctors, social organizations, and the media have encouraged the girl to terminate the pregnancy. They have even pressured the government to try and forced her to go through with it.

Local media released the 11-year-old’s medical reports submitted by the Hospital Pereira Rossell. The assessment of a specialized team from the Institute of Child and Adolescent of Uruguay (INAU), stated that “she doesn’t have the ability to understand the consequences of a pregnancy, motherhood, and the relationship with a man three times her age. The girl also carries a gene for slight retardation,” the report added.

“There is no risk for the life of the child or baby, so we cannot force her to have an abortion,” the director of INAU, Monica Silva, said..

For all parents out there, a stitch in time saves Nine, please don't ever allow this to happen to your children or your child. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Use every methods you know that best worked for you to protect the general security of your loving children. They are still young, they don't know how wicked and dangerous the world is ..so please don't damage your kids before you sent them out into the world.

INFERTILE GRASS TO GRACE

Janet gave birth to a bouncing baby boy unmarried and without a husband or any primary means of caring for her first child, such as a good accommodation, financial and social amenities. She was a foreigner from one of the African countries.    In order to avoid starvation for herself and her new born baby, she decided to live with some group of Africans, who originated from the same country. As luck would be on her side they all accepted to assist her in the provisions of food, clothing and cash to purchase baby lotions and diapers for her child. In fact they were very helpful to her without any pre conditions. When the time to circumcise her son drew near, there no money at hand, she went out to beg for some assistance and she met this African man, who offered to pay the circumcision fee.

         Unknowingly to Janet; he had other intentions in his mind, which he later disclosed to Janet of his plans to make her his own girlfriend after she had stopped weaning her child. At first, she refused because he was married, and she never wanted to fall into the formal trapped that made her had a child without a father. But her reasons for refusing could never challenge the sweet honey talks and eloquent promises, at last she agreed because she has no choice, she needed someone who will assist in the upbringing of her son. Like I had said in my previous blog, Janet had stopped contacting her families; her families in Africa had no contact number to reach her with.

        Definitely they would be painfully worried as to why she could never be heard of... When I asked, she told me her sole reason for cutting off contacts with her family was because she was expecting things to normalize with her situations after that, she would call and explained to them what had befallen her.

                         Six months later, Janet had already been in a secret relationship with this married man known as Felix by name;   One day, he brought her home to his wife and introduced Janet as one of his younger relatives within the extended family. His wife believed him and accepted Janet as a sister in-law. She gave her foods and clothing, Knowing Janet’s situations; she constantly invited her for a lunch or dinner. These went on for another 3 months. So one afternoon, Felix cajoled his wife to please allow Janet and her baby to be spending weekends in their house.  Clumsily, his wife agreed! But Felix took advantage of this opportunity to cunningly woke up in the wee-hour of the night and sneaked into the guest room offered to Janet, and make canal indecency with her. (How Felix managed to be able to pull off this tricks of sleeping with Janet in his own home undiscovered by his wife for months still baffles me.  Sometimes, during the dinner time, Felix would practically seek a permission from  his wife saying, “Oh sweetheart, thank God today is Friday do you remember I will be joining my friends in the Mamat (Indian restaurants locally known in Malaysia) restaurant to watch the English premier league, .....You know sweetheart that I am a strong fan of the Blues-Chelsea, if I am not back on time don’t wait for me just sleep, if there is anything I needed from you then I will wake you up when I come back.” So when it is time for him to go out, he would make a grunted sign either by coughing or sneezing to alert Janet so as to keep her room door unlocked.  The trick was that, instead of going out of the house, he would rather opened the front door, then shut it back noisily for his wife to think he had actually left the house, unknowingly to her Felix her husband, would back tracked and tip-toed straight to Janet’s room. Sometimes, he would prefer to hang outside for several minutes in pretext until he was sure his wife had fallen asleep. Then sneaked back home, silently opening the main door then tottered straight to Janet’s unlocked room)

                 In fact the methods worked well for him….these illicit engagements continued repeatedly for about 5 months; until his wife began suspect her husband’s midnight disappearance from the bed, including the rumors from her friends about her husband’s secret affairs with Janet.      One weekend, Felix’s wife decided to play “it takes a thief to catch a thief (spying on her husband). She decided to be all ears and watch out for any abnormalities constantly displayed by her husband at night. As you would expect, Felix went out after the dinner in order to repeat his four-figured clandestine routines. Unknowingly to Felix, his wife was never asleep. She had pretended to be sleeping but waiting patiently till the time her husband would sneak out of the bed.

    As usual Felix got out of the bed and went to Janet’s room, his wife was not sleeping, so she waited for another 10minutes, so that she could be sure of catching her husband red handed on the forbidden job.

                      Lo and Behold! Stars began to flash on everyone eyes as they were caught in the act, you could predict the kind of calamities that would blasted off, when a wife catches her husband red handed in the act of...........

 In short, Janet was disgracefully and severely attacked by the angry wife and got driven out that same night with her child. While walking alone in the night Janet resolved to call one of the boys she was sharing a home with to come to her aid because she was too afraid walking alone in the dark night. Weeks later, Felix’s wife discovered that Janet was already 2months pregnant for her own husband…………..  TO BE CONTINUED.
